Internazionale is about to present the second offensive reinforcement this transfer window. I Nerazzurri are almost in agreement with Lazio on Joaquín Correa, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. The 27-year-old Argentinian is first rented and then definitively owned by Inter through a mandatory option to buy for about thirty million euros.

On top of the amount, one million euros in bonuses can be added. Inter and Lazio agree on the amounts, but other terms are still being negotiated. For example, it is still unclear in which installments the Milanese will pay, which conditions are linked to the bonus and at what time the mandatory option to purchase must be activated. That could be after one or two seasons.

With Correa, Inter brings in a very multifunctional offensive reinforcement. The South American played most games in his career as a shadow striker, but can also play as a left winger, right winger and center striker. He has been one of the mainstays of Lazio for three seasons, which took him over from Sevilla in 2018. Correa is on 117 official appearances for Lazio, producing 30 goals and 18 assists.

At Internazionale, Correa may be seen as one of the successors of Romelu Lukaku, who was sold to Chelsea for at least 115 million euros. Before that, Inter quickly took over the transfer-free Edin Dzeko from AS Roma. The latter started his term at Inter well on Saturday by scoring in the opening game against Genoa (4-0 win). Inter strengthened further with right-backs Denzel Dumfries and Matteo Darmian, while Achraf Hakimi in that position sold another star player (to Paris Saint-Germain).
