Jong PSV achieved its first win of the season in the Kitchen Champion Division on Monday evening. The team of Ruud van Nistelrooy was taken by the hand by Fodé Fofana, who signed a new contract with PSV on Friday. The striker made two hits against FC Eindhoven: 3-2. In the other game, Jong AZ won in the absolute final phase of TOP Oss: 1-0.

Young PSV – Eindhoven FC 3-2
Within twenty minutes, PSV’s promises took the lead thanks to Fofana, who scored from about 25 meters. The low shot seemed tenable for Nigel Bertrams, who let the ball slip: 1-0. Mohammed Amin Doudah increased the score just before half-time by picking up a falling ball from a corner and placing it in the intersection via an opponent’s leg: 2-0.

Nine minutes after the break, Fofana topped off his evening with a hard shot, this time untenable for Bertrams: 3-0. Shortly afterwards, PSV goalkeeper Vincent Müller gave away a goal by kicking badly and then being passed around by Dave de Meij: 3-1. FC Eindhoven was given extra courage by the second yellow card from Doudah, who started a late tackle and was sent off. A beautiful bang from Enrico Hernández brought the visitors further back: 3-2.

Young AZ – TOP Oss 1-0
The Alkmaar U23 team created the first opportunity of the match, when Mohamed Taabouni found his way in but the shot that followed did not get between the posts. Halfway through the first half, TOP Oss had a good chance to score the opening goal. Justin Mathieu dribbled past Sem Dirks and Joey Jacobs with some fortune, but goalkeeper Beau Reus saved his team from behind with a nice save. In the second act Taabouni again had the opportunity to break the spell; from a free kick, however, the midfielder shot just wide. On the other side, Lion Kaak came closest to scoring when his shot burst onto the crossbar. In the end, Young AZ still won. In stoppage time, Iman Griffith scored the only goal of the game: 1-0.
