Ajax and FC Copenhagen have reached an agreement about the transfer of Mohamed Daramy, the reigning champion of the Netherlands confirms. No formal agreement has yet been reached with the nineteen-year-old attacker, who can be used in several positions. The clubs agreed on a transfer fee in which Ajax pays FC Copenhagen twelve million euros. This amount can increase to a maximum of thirteen million through variables, Ajax announces.
Ajax seems to trump the equally interested Club Brugge. Negotiations between Copenhagen and Club have ended. “We have spoken with Club and heard what they are doing,” said Daramy in the Danish press on Sunday evening. “I do not want to deny that they have prepared a good plan for me, which I was happy with. Born in Denmark and whose parents are from Sierra Leone, Daramy was added to FC Copenhagen’s youth academy at the age of fourteen and quickly became a sensation. He immediately added a goal to his debut in a cup match. Daramy made his league debut in December 2018.
