Tottenham Hotspur hopes to provide the defense with a quality boost this summer and has aimed its arrows at Kurt Zouma. The Chelsea defender has not been assured of a starting spot since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel and should become Nuno Espírito’s latest addition, knows Sky Sports. John Terry has since given his humble opinion and advises the centre-back not to go.

Zouma is in a difficult situation at Chelsea as he was not a regular base last season. The Frenchman did make 22 basic appearances in the Premier League, but did so mainly under Frank Lampard. After Tuchel’s arrival, Zouma disappeared into the bank. It kicked off the rumor mill this summer. West Ham United, among others, would be angling for the services of Zouma, but the Hammers were quickly put off by the hefty weekly salary. Zouma reportedly earns a sloppy 120,000 euros a week at Chelsea.

John Terry’s reaction to the Sky Sports rumor.

That seems to open the door for a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, as Nuno Espírito plans to refurbish his last line. Technical director Fabio Paratici is eagerly looking for a new central defender to post alongside Christian Romero. The latter made the switch from Atalanta to North London earlier this summer for a lot of money. Sky Sports know Tottenham are keen to rekindle their previous interest in the Frenchman, who is under contract with Chelsea until mid-2023.

John Terry has already let us know what he thinks about the situation amid all the rumors. The Chelsea legend responded to a Sky Sports Instagram post with the words “Don’t do it, Kurt Zouma”. Terry’s response, who has a sloppy six million followers on Instagram, has now been liked more than 30,000 times. Should Tottenham Hotspur actually want to continue with the arrival of Zouma, the club must pay an amount of thirty million euros for the mandekker.
