As it looks now, Cristiano Ronaldo will not make a transfer according to Fabrizio Romano’s reading. In the Spanish television program El Chiringuito de Jugones it was reported that coach Carlo Ancelotti would like to bring the 36-year-old Portuguese attacker back to Real Madrid. Romano states, however, that there is currently no concrete candidate to untie Ronaldo from Juventus.

There was speculation earlier this summer about Ronaldo leaving Juventus. Juventus club management has always stated in official terms that it was the intention that Ronaldo would stay this season and remain part of the team. Romano reports that no offer or proposal has yet been received for Ronaldo, which means that Juventus is still counting on his stay. That will be different in a year, because the current contract of the Portuguese expires in the summer of 2022.

For the time being, there are no talks about extending that commitment and Sky Italy Earlier reported that Juventus had no intention of starting it, simply because Ronaldo is pressing heavily on the budget. Paris Saint-Germain’s name has previously been mentioned as a possible destination for a transfer-free move, but much will depend on Kylian Mbappe’s future. At the moment, it is expected in Paris that Mbappé will extend his contract until mid-2022. If not, PSG will in any case not let him leave this summer and therefore the possible arrival of Ronaldo is now out of the question.

Real Madrid are going to make another attempt to sign Mbappe this summer and have not yet contacted Ronaldo about it. “Florentino Perez is the man who decides everything at Real Madrid. Any potential transfer or wish will come from the president,” Romano said on the news that Ancelotti would like to bring Ronaldo back to Madrid. Finally, Manchester City is also not currently in the race for Ronaldo: the reigning champions of England are still emphatically working on the complicated arrival of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
