Internazionale has received the replacement for Romelu Lukaku with Edin Dzeko. On Tuesday evening, Fabrizio Romano takes to Twitter with the news that the AS Roma striker is finished with i Nerazzurica, where the 35-year-old finisher will sign a commitment until mid-2023.

According to the transfer market expert, the deal has already been sealed and the final details will be put on paper ‘in the next few hours’. In addition, Gianluca Di Marzio knows about Sky Italy adding that Dzeko will earn an annual salary of six million euros. The medical examination in Milan is scheduled for Wednesday, after which the transfer will be made official soon.

The transfer of the 35-year-old Bosnian has gained momentum after it was announced that Lukaku will make the switch to Chelsea. On Saturday Romano already came with the news that Inter has accepted the offer of 115 million euros for the Belgian. This makes the 28-year-old striker the most expensive purchase in Chelsea’s club history. With a net annual salary of twelve to thirteen million euros, Lukaku also becomes the highest paid player.

Dzeko has been linked with a move to Inter in recent days. The experienced Roma striker was also in the picture at Inter two years ago, when Lukaku was attracted. Furthermore, Anthony Martial and Duván Zapata have also been mentioned as possible successors to Lukaku. Roma hopes to do business with Chelsea themselves and see Tammy Abraham as the desired striker to fill the gap that Dzeko leaves behind.

The Bosnian goal-getter will leave Roma after six years. In total, Dzeko came to 260 official duels on behalf of the Romans, in which he scored 119 times and provided 55 assists. In July 2016, the striker came over from Manchester City for an amount of eleven million euros. Before that, Dzeko played for VfL Wolfsburg, FK Teplice, Usti nad Labem and Zeljeznicar.
