Fredrik Aursnes will make the switch to Feyenoord, Molde FK reported on Sunday evening via the official channels. The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has already been Feyenoord Transfermarkt linked to the Rotterdammers, who have finally received Aursnes. It is as yet unknown until when the Norwegian international will sign in De Kuip and what amount is involved in the transfer. Feyenoord also reached earlier
Marcus Pedersen already on at Molde.

“Chairman Ole Erik Stavrum confirms that agreement has been reached on a transfer from Fredrik Aursnes to Feyenoord,” the Norwegian club’s website reads. The communication calls the Norwegian a ‘jewel in the midfield’ and a ‘mainstay’. “He came to us in 2016 and played almost two hundred games, in which he has grown enormously,” the message concludes.

Stavrum himself also sends a farewell message to Aursnes. “We would like to thank Fredrik Aursnes for 5.5 fantastic years at the club. He has made great strides and developed into a fantastic footballer. Fredrik has clearly been an important pawn in the team and after brilliant matches in the league and in Europe he deserves to take the next step. We are very much looking forward to following Fredrik further and hope to see him again in the Molde uniform in a few years’ time,” said the chairman.

It is not the first time this summer that Feyenoord is doing business with Molde. At the end of June, Pedersen, who came over for an amount of one million euros, already signed a five-year contract in De Kuip. The 21-year-old Norwegian has so far made minutes in every match in the preparation and in the Conference Leaugue matches.
