Chelsea looks set to say goodbye to Tammy Abraham this summer. Fabrizio Romano reports that the Blues will meet with Atalanta in the coming days to talk about the 23-year-old striker. The number three of the last Serie A season plans to make an offer of 40 million euros for Abraham, provided Internazionale knocks on the door of Duvan Zapata in Bergamo.

Chelsea can ultimately benefit from the signing of Romelu Lukaku. The Blues are emphatically working on the arrival of the Belgian striker, who himself is interested in a return to the club where he was under contract between 2011 and 2014. Internazionale previously referred a bid of one hundred million euros and Marcos Alonso to the trash, but can soon see a new offer. Romano reported that Chelsea are willing to increase the transfer fee to more than 110 million euros. Lukaku can earn a net annual salary of twelve million euros in London.

Should Lukaku actually leave, Inter may want to remove his successor from Atalanta. Zapata has been playing for . since 2018 La Dea, which took over from Sampdoria. The club from Genoa initially faced a rental fee of fourteen million euros and sold him definitively a year later for twelve million euros. The thirty-year-old Colombian striker has so far played 130 games for Atalanta, in which he was good for 66 goals and 31 assists. At Inter, Zapata has now appeared on the list of possible successors to Lukaku.

Atalanta already has Zapata’s successor in his sights: Abraham. The Chelsea-trained striker was previously linked with Arsenal, but the Blues don’t want to let him go to an English club. In the coming days, Chelsea and Atalanta will meet to discuss Abraham and, according to Romano, the Italians plan to make a bid of 40 million euros. Abraham is still committed to Chelsea until mid-2023 and left his childhood sweetheart behind for loan periods at Bristol City, Swansea City and Aston Villa.
