Sergio Aguero has already spent half a million euros less than a week after his arrival at Barcelona. The attacker, who is still on holiday after winning the Copa América and therefore did not go with the selection of Ronald Koeman to a training camp to Germany, has bought a Ferrari SF90 Stradale. The catalog value of the car in Spain is at least 481,598 euros.

Agüero has chosen not to wait for a car from the club, of the Cupra brand. Instead of a Cupra Formentor, a Cupra Ateca or a León e-Hybrid, as some of his teammates have, the 33-year-old Argentinian has bought a hybrid version of the Ferrari stable. The SF90 Stradale is not a ‘regular’ hybrid, like the LaFerrari, but has a plug and is therefore a plug-in hybrid.

The SF90 Stradale has a further developed and drilled version of an eight-cylinder on board that squeezes 780 hp and 800 Nm from its four liter capacity. It doesn’t stop there, the SF90 gets support from not one, not two, but three electric motors. A sprint from standstill to a speed of 100 km/h is completed in 2.5 seconds. More impressive are the 6.7 seconds it takes to catapult the vehicle to 200 km/h. The top speed of the freak plug-in is 340 km/h.

The plug-in hybrid has a 7.9 kWh battery pack, good for an electrical range of 25 km. Top speed in electric mode is 135 km/h. Agüero has bought the Ferrari from car company JM Automoción, where teammate Pedri bought a Lamborghini Huracán EVO six months ago. Salient: the teenager did not have a driver’s license in October last year and took a taxi home from the Camp Nou on the evening of his Champions League debut.

Aguero is a great car enthusiast. He also owns a Range Rover Lumma CLR SV, a Nissan GT-R and a Ferrari GTC4Lusso. After his departure from Manchester City, he gave his Range Rover Evoque to one of the equipment men as a gift, although it appeared on Ebay not much later. Agüero was in the news years back when he openly expressed regrets about buying a Lamborghini Aventador. “I paid 1.2 million euros for that car. No idea why. In six years I drove 1,200 kilometers with it. And I’ve been wondering why the hell I bought this car for two years now. It even has cobwebs on it”, sighed el Kun.
