Simon Colyn is on trial at PSV for the second time this week, so it knows Eindhovens Dagblad to report. The nineteen-year-old midfielder, a born Canadian with Dutch roots, already completed an internship at De Herdgang in 2019. That rental period will run until December 2021.

“Because according to the club management I can’t learn much more in the youth, we have now opted for a rental period. At SPAL I can take new steps again and I wanted to see how things are going in Europe,” said Colyn about a year ago in conversation with Football zone the rental period in Italy. The midfielder has so far played one game in the main squad of Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer.

“I had a nice week there and I feel like it went well, but communication between Vancouver and PSV was difficult and due to the outbreak of the corona crisis, it eventually completely diluted,” said Colyn about his first week of internship at PSV. “I’m sorry it didn’t work out, especially because I don’t know exactly why it was so difficult. It is a big dream of mine to one day play in the Eredivisie, but it has not yet been allowed to be. Hopefully it will still work in the future.”
