Harry Kane plans to return to the training ground at Tottenham Hotspur later this week, Fabrizio Romano reports. The 28-year-old striker failed again on Tuesday, after he also stayed away from training on Monday the Spurs. Tottenham are in no way willing to cooperate with a transfer from Kane and while the situation has not yet been resolved, he plans to return to the club soon.

There has been quite a difference in understanding between Tottenham and Kane. The entourage of the striker believes that there is a gentlemen’s agreement, with which it has been agreed that he can make a transfer this summer to a club that plays Champions League football. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, however, denies that there is any such agreement and has absolutely no intention of letting Kane go. Certainly not to another Premier League club, something that was still considered the only option by Romano on Monday.

The London Evening Standard writes that Levy lets Kane go alone to a foreign club. Then an astronomical transfer fee of 175 million euros must also be on the table for the striker’s contract that runs until mid-2024. It seems an easy position from Levy, because due to the financial consequences of the corona pandemic, there is no club outside England that can or will cough up such a transfer fee. Manchester City made a €118 million offer a month ago, but that has been relegated to the bin by Tottenham.

Kane and Tottenham will soon meet to discuss current tensions. The Spurs plan to fine Kane hefty for his absence from the training ground Monday and Tuesday, where he was expected to return for the first time this week after his vacation. The Tottenham captain wanted to make it clear that he would like to leave, but now plans to train again later this week. Romano already reported on Monday that Manchester City will wait for the tense situation between Kane and Tottenham before a new offer is made.
