Internazionale has no intention of letting Romelu Lukaku leave this summer. Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio report that Chelsea has reported to Milan for the 28-year-old Belgian striker with a bid of one hundred million euros and Marcos Alonso. However, the club management of Inter considers Lukaku to be ‘untouchable’, which means that i Nerazzurri have dumped the astronomical bid.

Goal reports, however, that Chelsea sees an opening to release Lukaku this summer from the reigning champions of Italy, where he is still committed until mid-2024. The reason for this is the financial difficulties at Inter, which led Achraf Hakimi earlier this summer for sixty million euros to Paris Saint-Germain. Inter director Giuseppe Marotta, however, made it clear in clear terms that Lukaku should not leave, while the striker seemed to be hinting at a longer stay in Milan.

Chelsea, however, see Lukaku as the ideal candidate in the search for a new striker, which has also previously mentioned Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland. Romano reported on Monday that the Blues have not contacted Harry Kane, who is currently strongly linked to Manchester City. With a bid of one hundred million euros and the previously linked to Inter, Chelsea hoped to convince Inter, but the English superpower apparently failed to do so.

After Inter’s rejection, Chelsea are considering coming back with a new offer. Important in this is also the position of Lukaku himself and Di Marzio reports that for the time being it seems that he wants to stay at Inter. Inter took Lukaku from Manchester United in the summer of 2019 for €74 million and he has been for i Nerazzurri good for 64 goals and 16 assists in 95 official games. He is no stranger to Chelsea, as Lukaku was already under contract at Stamford Bridge between 2011 and 2014. He eventually ended up in Italy via West Bromwich Albion, Everton and Manchester United.
