The name of Raúl García de Haro is used by Mundo Deportivo associated with Feyenoord. The twenty-year-old striker has rejected an offer from Real Betis to extend his contract until mid-2023. Raul García is not in the plans for the first team for the time being with coach Manuel Pellegrini, which means that an early departure is obvious.

Three years ago, Real Betis paid 100,000 euros to steal Raúl García from Almería’s youth academy. The young striker started at the club from Sevilla in the Under-19, but moved on to the second team after one season and also made his debut in the main force in the autumn of 2019, for which he has three official games to his name for the time being stand. However, since the arrival of Pellegrini in the summer of 2020, Raúl García is no longer in the picture with the first team.

With 13 goals and 1 assist for Real Betis’s second team in Segunda Division B – the third tier of Spanish football – Raúl García has had a strong season and, although he is in preparation with the first team, Pellegrini gives him hardly playing minutes in the exhibition games. The club management still has confidence in Raúl García and would like to extend his contract until mid-2023, but for the time being the young striker refuses to sign with Real Betis.

As a result, a summer transfer for Raúl García may be in the offing. There is considerable interest from the Segunda Division, including Almería, Las Palmas and Leganés. Mundo Deportivo also screens with the interest of Feyenoord, which is looking for a striker to compete with Robert Bozeník and Naoufal Bannis. Andraz Sporar of Sporting Portugal is also explicitly linked to Feyenoord by Portuguese media.
