Harry Kane did not report to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, reports Sky Sports. The 28-year-old striker was expected to return with the Spurs to prepare for the new season, but is therefore notable for its absence. That is Kane’s own choice and is not related to a corona test or anything else, Fabrizio Romano added.
Kane has set his sights on a transfer to Manchester City, which made an official offer of £100 million at the end of June. The Tottenham forward is convinced that he has a gentleman’s agreement with the club management. He is said to have agreed with owner Daniel Levy last year to make a transfer this summer. However, the businessman has no intention of letting Kane go.
Levy said in June that he understood Kane’s frustrations over the lack of trophies at Tottenham Hotspur. Despite this, the club owner has repeatedly stated that a deal with another club will be difficult. According to Sky Sports Tottenham currently values Kane at 140 million euros, although an amount of no less than 187 million euros was previously mentioned in the English media.
The Citizens are currently mainly concerned with the arrival of Jack Grealish. Last Friday, the champion of England brought The Athletic an offer of €117 million for the attacking midfielder of Aston Villa, exactly the same amount the club is willing to pay for Kane. The Villans would prefer not to let Grealish go and prepare according to Sky Sports a new contract proposal. The star player could earn a weekly salary of almost 150,000 euros at Aston Villa.
