Michiel Kramer will continue his career at RKC Waalwijk, it assures General Newspaper Tuesday. The 32-year-old striker was without a club after his contract with the relegated ADO Den Haag ended. Kramer must still keep a two-year contract with RKC for the Eredivisie, it sounds like. It will be Kramer’s seventh employer in the Netherlands.

Kramer played the past two seasons for ADO Den Haag, where he was in his second term. The striker previously wore the shirt of the club from the Hofstad between 2013 and 2015. Kramer came to ADO in 2013 after he showed that he had scoring ability at FC Volendam. In addition to ADO and Volendam, he also wore the shirts of Feyenoord, NAC Breda, Sparta Rotterdam and FC Utrecht in the Netherlands.

It is not very remarkable that Kramer’s name is now explicitly associated with RKC, since the Waalwijkers have been in need of scoring ability for several seasons. Last football season, the striker position was filled by Finn Stokkers, who was in the starting lineup in sixteen of his thirty appearances. However, he only managed to find the net five times in the Eredivisie. RKC was the least scoring team in the Eredivisie during the past season after ADO Den Haag (29 hits).

Kramer must become the seventh reinforcement for RKC this summer, which previously brought two well-known names to Brabant with Alexander Büttner and Iliass Bel Hassani. Joseph Oosting has had to give up a lot to attackers, as Ola John (to Al-Hazm), Sylla Sow (clubless) and Thijs Oosting (was hired from AZ) have left. In the preparation, RKC has so far not been able to achieve a win. NEC was 3-0 too strong, while Go Ahead Eagles was held at 1-1. Kramer is expected to sign a two-year contract with RKC one of these days.
