PSV expects an official offer from Borussia Dortmund for Donyell Malen soon, it reports Eindhovens Dagblad Monday night. The offer is likely to be made in the coming days. Reportedly, the top club from the Bundesliga has a maximum of 27 to 28 million euros for the 22-year-old attacker. PSV would bet on an amount of at least 30 million euros.

On Monday, German media concluded after an interview with technical director Michael Zorc that Borussia Dortmund may prematurely end the talks with PSV. “Above all else, we must make a wise decision,” it sounded in an interview with Ruhr Nachrichten. “Everything has to be right financially, otherwise as a club you just have to say ‘no’.” However, the Dortmund driver hopes for a quick agreement, so that Malen can join a training camp to Switzerland later this week. “It would only be good for the trainer if there is something concrete before that time. Unfortunately, as a club you do not always have everything in hand.”

Dortmund is looking for a successor to Jadon Sancho, who makes the switch to Manchester United for 85 million euros. Malen appeared on the radar of the Germans some time ago, who hope for a breakthrough in the negotiations with PSV. Meanwhile, it has become clear the European Championship-goer according to The Telegraph returns to Eindhoven on July 22 to start preparing for the new season, just like Denzel Dumfries.

It Eindhovens Dagblad emphasizes on Monday evening that PSV has never confirmed that they want at least thirty million euros for Malen. The club ‘keeps its hands free in that regard’, it sounds. Borussia Dortmund has already had ‘plenty’ talks with agent Mino Raiola. Reportedly, Malen himself has already agreed with Borussia Dortmund and he certainly sees a next step in the top of the Bundesliga. However, Liverpool is also on the fence “and in theory can still get through with a high bid,” according to the regional newspaper. Malen’s contract with PSV continues for another three years.
