ESPN has published the official trailer of the special Feyenoord series, called ‘That One Word: Feyenoord’ on Monday morning. The series, which was produced by the Dutch Lusus Media in collaboration with ESPN, consists of nine episodes of fifty minutes, gives an insight into and around the stadium club and can be streamed on Disney + Star from Friday 27 August.

It is the first Dutch Star Original from Disney, a Disney+ brand that has featured older series and films since February, as well as many new original productions. Disney has been given full access to all areas in and around De Kuip, including the dressing room. The intention is that the club gives supporters an insight into the daily worries at Feyenoord in this way.

Feyenoord reported the documentary in February. The importance for the club was endorsed by Joris van Dijk, commercial director of the club: “This fits perfectly with our ambition to increase the image and impact of Feyenoord. Feyenoord wants to be an open and transparent club and this is the ultimate proof of that.”

“It is an important step for us to be able to give all our supporters a unique look at the ins and outs of our beautiful club, together with an international partner such as Disney. Moreover, the collaboration provides an important financial injection, which is more than welcome at the moment,” said Van Dijk at the time.

Various topics are discussed in Monday’s trailer. Viewers will see unique images from the dressing room of Feyenoord, from an enraged Nick Marsman to the much-discussed fight between Dick Advocaat and Leroy Fer.
