Armando Broja’s future seems to be with Chelsea. The Champions League winner will announce on Sunday afternoon that the contract of the nineteen-year-old attacker has been extended until the summer of 2026. His parental commitment at Stamford Bridge continued until mid-2022. Broja played on a rental basis in the Vitesse shirt last season. Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano already reported on Saturday that the contract extension was only a matter of time.

“I think it’s great that I have signed a new contract with Chelsea,” Broja exults on Sunday after the formalities surrounding the new contract at the Blues. “Making my debut in the first team here as a youth player last year was very special. After that I gained very valuable experience at Vitesse. I would like to continue on the chosen path and I am really looking forward to continuing myself at Chelsea I really want to leave my mark on this club in the coming years”, Broja expresses his ambition for the future.

Broja made his Chelsea main squad debut in March 2020 in a league game against Everton. Shortly afterwards, all football in Europe came to a halt due to the corona crisis. The physically strong attacker made the temporary switch to Vitesse a few months later. For the Arnhem club he scored 11 goals in 34 matches in all competitions. Broja reached the final of the TOTO KNVB Cup with Vitesse. The mercenary did not score in the final battle in De Kuip and saw Ajax triumph 2-1 to make matters worse.
