Another sensitive audio fragment by Florentino Pérez has leaked. In the recording, made in 2012, Pérez discusses the love life of then-Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil. He tells about a conversation between Ozil and former coach José Mourinho. The latter is said to have strongly advised Ozil to end an alleged relationship with Venezuelan model Aída Yéspica.
Pérez looks back on Ozil’s arrival after the 2010 World Cup. “So he came here with a girlfriend, he was 21 years old and a third generation Turk… But he discovered Madrid. Forget the girlfriend, forget his Turkish background! There was nothing left of that. He told his girlfriend to fuck off and changed his lifestyle. He fell in love with an Italian model from Milan. He took his private jet to Milan, fucked her and returned. At one point, Mourinho, a very funny man, got tired of his antics. He said, “Hey Mesut, my bream.” He called him bream. “Can we speak in person, as father and son?” The poor lad said, “Yes, of course.” Mourinho said: ‘Look, this girl is fucking the entire Inter and AC Milan squad, including the staff’. A bream is a wide-eyed fish, like Ozil has, but the word is also used in Spanish as a synonym for “dumbbell.” Aída Yéspica is a Venezuelan TV personality. She moved to Milan in 2003, where she modeled. According to a 2007 prostitution survey, she also worked as an escort in Milan. The fragment is yet another sensitive tape that leaks from Pérez. The Real Madrid president has previously been embarrassed by harsh statements towards Iker Casillas, Raul, Luis Figo and Guti.
In 2013, Pérez said in an interview with ABC all that Özil is “unprofessional” and “obsessed with women.” “Mesut discovered the real world here and became obsessed with women, something that was foreign to him before. However, it was not about those women for me, but especially the long nights. The hours he was not in bed. When his manager came recently asking for a salary increase to ten million euros a year, I immediately sent them away,” he said at the time. The international media immediately pointed to Yespica, who is said to have turned Ozil’s head.
Yespica herself then denied in conversation with media set that she was intimate with Ozil. “I met Ozil two years ago. We ran into each other in a disco in Madrid, but I have nothing to do with his departure from Real. We never had sex,” she said. “The only thing that is correct is that we exchanged our phone numbers. One evening he was suddenly in Milan, a huge surprise for me. I accompanied him, we had agreed in a famous tent full of paparazzi. Or he came on a private plane, I don’t know.”
