Sebastian Kehl does not want to hear about a premature departure of Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. Successor to Michael Zorc as Technical Director of BVB expect the Norwegian star player to be on the training field this week despite the persistent rumors of a departure this week. Haaland has been linked in recent months with Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid, among others.

“There is nothing new to report about Haaland,” Kehl emphasizes on Tuesday in conversation with sky. “He is just in our plans. Erling will return this week and I am convinced he will be very hungry. He just wants to play football at Dortmund, where he feels very comfortable. Erling wants nothing more than to score a lot of goals .” The Dortmund driver is not afraid that Haaland will leave for the Premier League in preparation for the new season.

“Haaland to Chelsea? I’ve read about that, but that doesn’t change the situation for us. We have plans with Erling for next season, he is aware of that together with his agent (Mino Raiola, ed.). We look forward to seeing him again this week,” concludes the hopeful Kehl. The new technical manager also sheds light on the impending departure of Jadon Sancho, who is almost certain to leave for Manchester United this summer. In the meantime, a suitable successor to the Englishman is being carefully considered.

“We are definitely planning something in the transfer market,” Kehl clarifies. “We want to remain ambitious, but we don’t know exactly what is possible yet. We are closely monitoring developments in the transfer market. In any case, we will not do anything crazy. It could just be that Sancho’s successor is someone is who only grows into a real top player here, as happened with Jadon.”
