Oussama Idrissi has returned to Sevilla with little perspective, reports Estadio Deportivo Tuesday. The 25-year-old wing striker has been told by trainer Julen Lopetegui that he has no future in the first team. Sevilla hopes to recoup part of the large purchase amount that was paid to AZ last year.

Idrissi came to Sevilla for twelve million euros last year, but was unable to convince for a moment in Andalusia. The attacker played only 24 minutes in LaLiga and was loaned to Ajax in January. Behind captain Dusan Tadic, Idrissi was mainly on the bench and in the substitutions he received he did not make too strong an impression. In total, Idrissi played fourteen official matches for Ajax, in which he did not score a single goal or assist.

Sevilla no longer has faith in Idrissi and technical director Monchi has brought the Moroccan international on the market. Only if the left striker shows himself to Lopetegui in preparation and if interesting offers are not forthcoming, Idrissi may remain with the first team. Sevilla are open to various types of offers for the winger this summer and bear in mind that recouping his full purchase price is likely to be unrealistic.

Idrissi may also be rented out, preferably with a mandatory option to buy at least eight million euros. That is also the remaining amount that Sevilla still has to write off the player. Los Rojiblancos also require a rental fee. No concrete offers for Idrissi have come in yet, although Club Brugge and some clubs from the lower zone of the Premier League are interested.
