The line-ups of France and Germany for Tuesday evening’s European Championship match have been announced. Compared to the last exhibition game, last Tuesday against Bulgaria (3-0), France national coach Didier Deschamps is making one change. Germany plays with the same eleven names as last Monday against Latvia (7-1).

The change in the team of France concerns the starting place of Adrien Rabiot. The midfielder was missing last week due to minor physical complaints against Bulgaria, but now takes the position of Corentin Tolisso. National coach Joachim Löw does not think it is necessary to make changes to his starting line-up after the goal-rich victory over Latvia.

Deschamps chooses Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema in the vanguard. Against Bulgaria, Benzema was injured, after which his replacement Olivier Giroud scored twice. Benzema’s knee injury turned out to be not too bad. Giroud must have hoped for a starting spot because of his strong substitution, but must still make room for Benzema.

France and Germany last met in 2018. In the Nations League group, which was eventually won by the Netherlands, France took four points against Germany: it was 0-0 in Munich and 2-1 in Paris. The numbers two (France) and twelve (Germany) in the FIFA world ranking are this time in the group together with Hungary and Portugal.

France line-up: Lloris; Pavard, Varane, Kimpembe, Hernandez; Kante, Pogba, Rabiot; Griezmann, Mbappe, Benzema.

Germany setup: Neuer; Ginter, Hummels, Rudiger; Kimmich, Gundogan, Kroos, Gosens; Muller, Havertz, Gnabry
