Kylian Mbappe is one of the fastest footballers of the moment, but the attacker of Paris Saint-Germain and the national team of France knows that many professional footballers with or without the ball reach speeds of at least thirty kilometers per hour. Mbappé mentions in an interview with France Football four fellow footballers whose speed impressed him.

“I recently spoke to my father about a football player who impressed me from the stands. Because of his speed,” Mbappé told the French magazine. “That was against Stade Rennes and I didn’t play. It was Jeremy Doku. In my five years as a professional footballer I have never seen someone with so much power in the first meters.”

“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also an incredibly fast footballer,” continues Mbappe. “And Neymar, especially before his injuries. He could change direction so easily at speed, too crazy for words. There are also players who are less explosive in the first meters, such as Kyle Walker of Manchester City. He’s like a tank once he’s up to speed.”

Mbappe got from France Football the question of which three football players he would like to read an interview in the magazine. “From Gianluigi Buffon, I would like to know what he will do next. Also from Lionel Messi, he doesn’t talk much with the media. We would find out many things. And Mason Mount. That’s an incredible footballer that we don’t know much about yet.”

Mbappé was logically less open-mouthed about his future. “I want to make the right decision. And that is not easy. That’s why I want to give myself the opportunity to make the right choice. I’m now at a club where I’m happy, where I feel good. But is it also the best place for me? I don’t have the answer to that yet.” The contract of 22-year-old Mbappé with the Parisians expires next summer. Real Madrid in particular hopes for the arrival of the attacker.
