The discussion about the game system at the Dutch national team has even moved someone to send a plane into the air on Saturday with a message to national coach Frank de Boer. ‘Frank, just 4-3-3’, was the message on the banner behind the sports plane. It circled above the KNVB campus in Zeist during the final training of the the Dutch for the game against Ukraine.
Matthijs de Ligt started the last training session on Saturday. The defender is recovering from a groin injury, which he sustained during the training camp in Portugal last week. It is still unclear whether De Ligt can play against Ukraine. Media are only allowed to follow the last training of the Dutch for the first performance in the European final round for fifteen minutes. They can therefore not see whether De Ligt is fully taxed.

The national coach will give a press conference at 1.45 pm. He may already tell whether he dares to take on Ukraine with De Ligt. De Boer has also not yet announced who will be his first goalkeeper at the European Championship: Maarten Stekelenburg or Tim Krul.
