Isco’s girlfriend, Sara Sálamo, has recently fallen victim to death threats. In conversation with The Huffington Post Sálamo says that the threats went so far that she reported them to the police. The hateful messages are partly aimed at Sálamo’s partner Isco, who has had an unhappy season at Real Madrid and was not a permanent fixture under the now departed Zinedine Zidane.
A number of Real Madrid supporters accuse Sálamo of her husband’s poor performance the Royal. “I have received death threats,” said the actress. “They sent me selfies with guns and said, ‘We’re going to kill you.'” Sálamo said in the same interview with the aforementioned medium that he was tired of being known as ‘the partner of’. “People who say that I belong to a certain person do not do justice to what I actually represent as a person. Most questions are directed to my partner whether the problems that being with my partner cause me,” said Sálamo.
The death threats that Sálamo recently had to undergo were a bridge too far for her. “I took it to the police because this form of insult goes beyond every conceivable line,” she continues. “I have days when I say to myself, ‘You have to report this to the police.’ And then I spend two months without opening my mouth, because I don’t think it is of any use. But I notice that it is increasingly affecting my state of mind and my personal circumstances. “
It is certainly not the first time that supporters have started hunting partners of star players via social media. Last week, the same happened to singer Edurne, when her partner David de Gea became the big schlemiel in the final of the Europa League against Villarreal by missing the decisive penalty kick.
