Carlo Ancelotti will be Real Madrid’s new trainer, according to various international media, including Fabrizio Romano. Everton’s current manager has reached an agreement with the Royal about a return. Real Madrid is ‘in direct contact’ with Everton regarding the termination of his contract in England.
Ancelotti was also coach of Real between 2013 and 2015 and gave the Spanish superpower the Champions League in 2014. Florentino Pérez decided to send Ancelotti out of the avenue in 2015 due to missing out on the national title, but is now bringing the Italian back. Reported earlier in the day Marca all that Ancelotti was considered by Pérez as “the chosen one” to succeed the departed Zidane. Ancelotti has been manager of Everton for the past two seasons, finishing twelfth and tenth in the Premier League respectively. The coach’s contract continued for three more seasons in Liverpool.
Zidane’s succession had already been discussed for some time. Massimiliano Allegri initially seemed to be the top candidate for Pérez, although it has now become clear that the trainer is returning to his old love Juventus.
