Sipke Hulshoff is the new trainer of Feyenoord Under-21, as the Rotterdammers announce through the official channels. The 46-year-old coach comes over from FC Volendam, where he worked as an assistant to head coach Wim Jonk. Hulshoff could, according to Feyenoord Transfermarkt also choose to transfer to PEC Zwolle, where he could become the assistant of the new head coach Art Langeler, but still prefers an employment contract with Feyenoord.

Hulshoff will succeed Rini Coolen at Feyenoord Under-21, who has been appointed head of youth education after Stanley Brard’s departure. “For me there were two reasons to choose Feyenoord,” says Hulshoff on the Feyenoord website. “Firstly, Feyenoord remains a top club and this is therefore a wonderful adventure. I also look forward to the renewed collaboration with Arne Slot. As an Under-21 trainer, I want to take as many players as possible to a higher level so that he can take full advantage of it at Feyenoord 1. “

“Sipke has been working as a trainer in professional football for over twenty years and has worked with young talents for a considerable part of his career,” explains technical director Frank Arnesen on behalf of Feyenoord. “The right person to lead Feyenoord Under 21 and to take the road to the Kitchen Champion Division with that promising group. Getting there as quickly as possible is and remains the goal for our promises. “

Hulshoff has worked as an assistant coach at FC Volendam since 2019. Previously, he was active as a youth, assistant and interim trainer at SC Cambuur, he worked within the youth academy of FC Groningen and had adventures abroad at Al-Arabi and Red Bull Ghana. At Cambuur Hulshoff worked together with Arne Slot, who was also working in Leeuwarden at the time as an assistant trainer.
