Ajax follows the operations of seventeen-year-old Kaiky, reports the Brazilian branch Goal. The Santos defender is considered top talent in South America and has also sparked Arsenal’s interest. For the time being, there is only talk of interest: no offers have yet been received for Kaiky, Santos argues Goal.

For the time being, there is no question of a transfer anyway, because Kaiky will celebrate his eighteenth birthday on January 12 and can only make the switch to Europe at that time. The 1.86-meter center-back made his official debut for Santos on February 28 of this year and now has nine official games for Santos to his name. In the Copa Libertadores, which started at the beginning of March, Kaiky played all five games so far fully.

Within Santos, Kaiky is seen as an enormous talent, which the Brazilian top club would rather not see leave. Santos points to the escape clause of no less than seventy million euros in the contract of his top talent. Kaiky’s contract was extended in December until mid-2023. Should it come to a transfer to Ajax, Kaiky will be Santos’s second player to go to Amsterdam in a short time. Last summer, the now nineteen-year-old Giovanni came to Ajax after much legal wrangling for a training fee of one million euros.
