Hundreds of Chelsea supporters have gathered outside Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening, prior to the league game with Brighton & Hove Albion. The fans expressed their anger at Chelsea’s participation in the Super League. Petr Cech, technical advisor at Chelsea, came out to address the crowd. The match is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 p.m.
Images that have appeared on social media show that Cech is arguing with some fans. There is a vocation, as he emphasizes that “this is not the way” to convey the dissatisfaction. He asks the supporters to leave the field so that the players’ bus can arrive. Cech was under the bar at Chelsea between 2004 and 2015 and returned as a consultant in the summer of 2019. Supporters carry cardboard signs with texts such as ‘RIP Football’ and ‘The Ultimate Betrayal’. Chelsea was one of the twelve clubs that agreed to the creation of the Champions League.
