Ajax expects to know at the beginning of next week how serious the knee injury is that Naci Ünüvar has suffered, reports The Telegraph Saturday evening. The seventeen-year-old talent of Young Ajax was apparently seriously injured on Friday evening in the 3-0 defeat against FC Eindhoven in the Kitchen Champion Division.

Shortly before resting, Ünüvar twisted his knee on the artificial grass. He stumbled from the field crying, accompanied by some members of the Young Ajax staff. “You have to be at your strongest when you feel the weakest,” Ünüvar wrote on Instagram on Saturday.

After Ünüvar’s failure in the 41st minute, things went wrong for Young Ajax in Eindhoven. The team of trainer Mitchell van der Gaag received three goals after the break. The Ünüvar season is expected to be over in any case.

Ünüvar is on Youri Regeer, Neraysho Kasanwirjo and Enric Llansana after the player who played the most matches this season on behalf of Young Ajax in the Kitchen Champion Division. In 29 matches he scored 7 goals and 1 assist.
