Lucas Pratto’s reserve role at Feyenoord is not well received by his agent Gustavo Goñi, the advocate tells TyC Sports. According to Goñi, who places the blame on trainer Dick Advocaat, there is more to it. Pratto was taken over on a rental basis from the Argentinian River Plate in January, but has barely made an impression in Rotterdam and has been watching motionless from the reserve bench for months.

The last time Pratto came into action on behalf of Feyenoord, was on January 27 in the lost away match against sc Heerenveen. The bear came in half an hour before time for Luis Sinisterra, but was unable to turn the tide for his team. Goñi understands little about the reserve role that Pratto is currently filling at Feyenoord. “The technical management of the club tells him that they have a lot of confidence and that things are going well, but then they make changes to the formation and then they don’t put him up. I think more happened that no one wants to tell me.” , says Goñi.

Pratto moved to Europe because he had no prospect of playing time at River Plate. Because of injuries to Nicolai Jörgensen and Róbert Bozeník, Feyenoord was looking for a new temporary attack leader and saw the solution to the striker problem in the Argentinian. “Pratto has many positive things in his life in Europe, but he is not happy that he is not playing. That was of course the main reason for him to leave River Plate.” In recent weeks, the lawyer prefers Bryan Linssen in the point of the attack, as the now fit Bozeník cannot charm the trainer either. Linssen formed an attacking duo with Steven Berghuis against FC Utrecht (1-2 win).

South American media have linked Pratto to a move to Universidad Católica (where he played between 2010 and 2011) and Vélez Sarsfield (where he played between 2012 and 2015). “That is very premature,” Goñi recently told opposite Fútbol 910. “We first sit down with River Plate and see what the plans are. And we have to see if anything comes from Europe.” Pratto’s hefty salary at River Plate would be a stumbling block to a switch. “He is a fighter and is very strong physically and mentally. He still has a few years to go. In football, everything can change from one moment to the next. ”
