Ernie Brandts will not be in front of the FC Eindhoven selection in the coming days. The low flyer from the Kitchen Champion Division has made this decision because the group of players has lost confidence in the technical staff. “FC Eindhoven will be considering the future of the current technical staff in the coming days. After discussions with the technical staff and the players group, the club is currently taking the time to find a suitable solution ”, the club reports via the official channels.

“It has been decided by mutual agreement that head coach Ernie Brandts will not be in front of the group in the coming days.” It Eindhovens Dagblad already reported that during a few group discussions, the entire group of players ‘almost unanimously’ gave up their confidence in Brandts, while it would also rumble within the technical staff itself. There is reportedly dissatisfaction with the tactical and football-technical approach of the 65-year-old trainer and his resigned attitude after defeats.

According to the regional newspaper, the selection wants assistant trainer Ivo Rossen to stand in front of the group. FC Eindhoven lost 0-2 at home to Young PSV on Friday evening, which means that the club has now won only one of the last seventeen league matches: a 1-5 victory over low flyer FC Dordrecht.

FC Eindhoven has dropped to sixteenth place in the Kitchen Champion Division. Participation in the play-offs has completely disappeared from view. Brandts has been a trainer of FC Eindhoven since the summer of 2019, which recently expressed its intention to extend his contract.
