Luis Manuel Orejuela will immediately switch from Cruzeiro to São Paulo, the Brazilian club reports through official channels. The Colombian right back has signed a contract until March 2025. São Paulo, the club where Hernán Crespo was appointed as new trainer last month, is reportedly paying two million euros for Orejuela.
The Colombian has an unsuccessful past at Ajax. In 2017, the team from Amsterdam took him over from Deportivo Cali for just under four million euros. He failed to impress and did not get further than 44 minutes of play in the Eredivisie. After a rental period at Cruzeiro, he made the definitive switch to the club that plays in the Brazilian Serie B at the beginning of last year for more than a million euros.

Orejuela is Sao Paulo’s second fortification in a short time. Last week, the club announced the arrival of 36-year-old routine Miranda. The 58-time Brazilian international is transfer-free from Jiangsu Suning. Orejuela does not seem to have to fear Dani Alves as a competitor.
