Ralf Seuntjens is making an extremely sensitive transition within the Kitchen Champion Division, reports BN DeStem. The 31-year-old attacker transfers transfer-free from De Graafschap to NAC Breda, the club with which the Doetinchemmers are involved in a fierce battle for promotion this season. Seuntjens will sign with the club from his hometown for two seasons.

The news hits De Graafschap hard, he adds Gelderland broadcaster to. The number two in the Kitchen Champion Division has four points ahead of pursuer NAC Breda. At the end of March there will be a mutual duel between the two teams and according to the local broadcaster, De Graafschap has the issue in his stomach. “In the coming weeks, Seuntjens can still muster the full motivation to help his employer in the race for promotion? What is the effect of his departure on the rest of the group?” Are questions that play a role at De Vijverberg.

It is unclear how Mike Snoei feels about the matter. The trainer of De Graafschap expressed the expectation on Sunday that Seuntjens would start drawing in the Achterhoek. The striker is the top scorer of the club in the Kitchen Champion Division with thirteen goals and received ‘a serious offer’ to sign. However, Seuntjens prefers an adventure at NAC, the club of which he has been a supporter from an early age. It is also the intention that Seuntjens after his football career remains active in a policy position at NAC.

The 1.94 meter long center forward is reunited in Breda with Maurice Steijn, the trainer with whom he had a successful period at VVV-Venlo. Seuntjens had already hinted at a contract with NAC for some time, but in 2014 and 2019 the then technical directors Graeme Rutjes and Tom Van Den Abbeele did not see it in Seuntjens, who was both transfer-free. Two years ago, the attacker therefore decided to sign with De Graafschap.
