The likelihood that Sergio Ramos will remain with Real Madrid appears to have increased significantly. Eduardo Inda, editor-in-chief of the Spanish medium OK Diario, states that the relationship between the 34-year-old captain and chairman Florentino Pérez has improved considerably in recent days, the Royal is hopeful that Ramos will opt for contract extension at Real.

Inda explains in the broadcast of El Chiringuito TV also that Ramos has been advised by his management to accept a salary cut in order to win a new contract. The advocates of the routine are, however, committed to increasing the bonuses in a possible new contract for Ramos. Marca reports Wednesday that the center-back is in constant contact with Pérez and that contract extension is only a matter of time. It is normally a contract for one season.

Josep Pedrerol, presenter of El Chiringuito TV was able to report in mid-February that Ramos was on his way to the exit at Real. The plug would even have been definitively pulled from the negotiations between club and player. Previously reported ABC that Real Madrid would have issued Ramos with an ultimatum for a decision on his expiring contract. Real reportedly wanted to hear whether it would accept the contract offer by the end of March. Ramos would have been offered a one-year contract with an option for another season. Due to the financial consequences of the corona pandemic, the Real Madrid squad has lost ten percent of his salary and Pérez wanted to extend Ramos’s contract for one year under the same conditions.

Ramos, who reportedly earns 17 million euros a year at Real Madrid, had expected more appreciation and was also annoyed by the fact that Pérez only likes to meet him briefly for the time being. A few weeks later, the contact between Ramos and the chairman turns out to be a lot better. It is still unclear whether Real is still looking for a successor to the mandekker, which has already been linked to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

Various Spanish media reported that David Alaba is making the transfer-free transfer from Bayern Munich to Real, where he is said to have a four-year contract. In addition, claimed ASH that David Carmo was on trainer Zinedine Zidane’s list. A price tag of forty million euros would hang around the neck of the defender of Sporting Braga.
