PSV knows the opponent in the third preliminary round of the Europa League. The people of Eindhoven take on the Slovenian NS Mura, which on Thursday evening won 3-0 against Aarhus GF. The game will be played next Thursday in the Fazanerija Stadium in the Slovenian town of Murska Sobota.

In the previous round Mura won 0-4 against Nömme Kalju from Estonia and took the lead against Aarhus after 36 minutes. After a sharp cross from Andrija Filipovic, Jan Gorenc, an up-and-coming central defender, slid the ball in from close range. Eighteen minutes before time Kevin Zizek decided the game when, after too short a header in the defense at Aarhus, goalkeeper William Eskelinen flipped over and rounded in an empty goal. In injury time Zizek set the final score at 3-0.

Should PSV manage to beat Mura, it will have a seeded status in the final preliminary round. Last season PSV stranded in the group stage: the club finished third in a group with LASK Linz, Sporting Portugal and Rosenborg BK. By the way, PSV is not the only Dutch club in the third preliminary round: province mate Willem II will compete against Rangers FC on Thursday.
