Seville is the new employer of Marcos Acuña. Los Rojiblancos report Monday afternoon the arrival of the left back, which is taken over from Sporting Portugal. Acuña has committed himself to his new employer for four years. The transfer of the 28-year-old defender is said to involve an amount of ten million euros. This sum can be increased by two million by means of bonuses.

Acuña is considered in Andalusia as the replacement of Sergio Reguilón, who was hired from Real Madrid last season. Sevilla actually wanted to pick up Reguilón for the new football year at the Royalbut couldn’t go any further than offering him another lease. Manchester United does have the means to offer Reguilón a multi-year contract and now seems to have the best papers for his arrival.

Sevilla brings in Acuña a 27-time international from Argentina who has earned his spurs at Sporting in recent seasons. In the summer of 2017 the top club from Lisbon picked up the wing defender for about ten million at Racing Club and Acuña immediately turned out to be a fixture. The left back played a total of 135 matches on behalf of Sporting, in which he scored 9 times and delivered 25 assists.

Acuña is Seville’s third acquisition for the coming season. The Europa League winner previously took over Óscar Rodríguez from Real Madrid, while Ivan Rakitic was brought back from Barcelona. The transfers of last season’s already hired Suso and goalkeeper Bono were also made final.
