Ansu Fati appears in Ronald Koeman’s plans in Barcelona. According to ESPN the seventeen-year-old striker has been told he will get a shirt number next season and will be part of the selection of the superpower from LaLiga. In addition, his contractual lump sum will be increased from 170 to 400 million euros to deter interested clubs.

The increase in the contractual lump sum is done automatically, based on an agreement made by Barcelona and Fati in October 2019. At the time, it was decided that the youth exponent would get a new contract if he were part of the selection in the 2020/21 season. However, it is not known whether other contractual terms will change as well. ESPN claims based on a source in the club that Koeman was ‘gilded’ with the presence of Fati.

At the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, Barcelona’s sports complex, Fati is seen as a rising star with a bright future. The youngster is being watched by ‘big clubs with billionaire owners’, but Barcelona want to make him feel important to the club. Koeman appreciates that he can put Fati in various positions in the attack. Last season, he played in 27 of his 33 official games as a left-winger; furthermore, he works in the point, as a right wing and even once as a real midfielder.

Fati, who went missing on Saturday due to the hip injury against Gimnàstic de Tarragona due to a hip injury, can still be competed by a new striker. Thursday reported Mundo Deportivo that there is doubt within the clubs as to whether it is necessary to sign Memphis Depay, as Fati is developing rapidly, but according to reports from ESPN there need not be a connection between retaining the teenager and recruiting the Orange international. Luis Suárez’s future is still uncertain.
