Naci Ünüvar had a very painful afternoon on Saturday. The nineteen-year-old attacker was already on his way to a 1-2 defeat against Ümraniyespor with Trabzonspor, and was also sent off with a red card in the end. Ünüvar was entirely to blame for this: after he had received a yellow card for a foul, he went out of his way against the linesman.
Trabzonspor, undefeated at home since March 8, 2021, fell behind at the beginning of the second half due to Jesse Sekidika. Fifteen minutes later, Umut Nayir doubled the margin. Yusuf Yazici did something back five minutes before the end, but could not prevent the beautiful series from coming to an end. Ünüvar would not live to see the final whistle again, after he was not only shown a yellow card after interrupting an enemy attack, but also immediately received the red card.

The Zaandammer sprinted furiously to the linesman immediately after he got yellow, after which the first referee sent him off the field. Ünüvar was on the field for about 64 minutes: in minute 34 he had come on due to an injury at Trézéguet. It was Ünüvar’s seventh league game, of which he only saw one from the first whistle.
Ünüvar’s loan to Trabzonspor has not yet proved to be an unqualified success. At the beginning of this month he did score his first league goal, where he was also twice accurate in the cup earlier. Ünüvar is one of the two wingers that Ajax has rented out this season: Mohamed Daramy also plays for FC Copenhagen on a temporary basis. At Trabzonspor, former Ajax player Stefano Denswil was also on the field for 76 minutes.
