UEFA is starting a disciplinary investigation into possible racist expressions against Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The incidents allegedly took place last Thursday during AC Milan’s away match against Red Star Belgrade (2-2) in the second round in the Europa League. Several Serbian media report that Ibrahimovic is because of his Bosnian roots the target was statements with a racist connotation.

Ibrahimovic, who remained on the bench against Red Star for ninety minutes, is said to have been insulted by a person who was in the VIP box of the home club.
