Davide Vagnati, Torino’s technical director, has responded to a heated argument with trainer Ivan Juric. A video appeared on social media on Wednesday, showing the two getting into a fight at a training camp in Austria. According to Vagnati, however, there should not be too much behind the quarrel.

Vagnati visited Torino’s training camp in Austria. The technical director did this mainly to allay dissatisfaction with Juric, who is not satisfied with the club’s transfer policy. Gleison Bremer made a transfer to Juventus for 40 million euros and top scorer Andrea Belotti left on a free transfer, while the club could hardly welcome additions.

Vagnati and Juric got into a discussion on Monday and emotions ran high.
“I’m making the selection,” Vagnati shouted to his trainer, to which Juric said: “You’re not shitting.” Vagnati then erupted in anger, as he started to attack his trainer. “You shouldn’t raise your voice against me. Show some respect for someone who always defends you at that jerk,” according to Italian media he was referring to Urbano Cairo, the president of Torino.

Vagnati lifted in front of the camera from Sky Italy Surprisingly enough, not too much to argue with. “It wasn’t fun to watch, but if two people want to do things right, something like this can happen,” he said. “We are both genuine people who don’t mince words. We start again, with complete conviction. The club is doing everything it can to get players as quickly as possible. After that discussion with Juric, we hugged each other. When we argue, we sometimes say things without thinking.”
