Paris Saint-Germain has suffered its first defeat of the season in Ligue 1. Trainer Luis Enrique saw his team lose 1-3 to OGC Nice on Friday evening in the Parc des Princes. A major setback, a few days before the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund. Kylian Mbappé scored for PSG and has now been involved in at least one goal in fifteen games in a row, joining the ranks of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Terem Moffi was the big hero at Nice with two goals and an assist.
Nice took the lead after twenty minutes of play. Mbappé lost the ball in his own half and it was ultimately Terem Moffi who shot the ball from close range into the bottom right corner: 0-1. Mbappé was exasperated and single-handedly scored the equalizer after almost half an hour of play. The attacker hit the ball hard on a pass from the right from Achraf Hakimi and from the edge of sixteen: 1-1. Shortly before, Ousmane Dembélé could have scored, but the winger failed miserably when he appeared alone in front of the visitors’ goalkeeper. An equal score halfway through, although PSG found itself behind again shortly after the restart.

The excellent Moffi reached the back line after a nice individual action, and then served fellow attacker Gaëtan Laborde. The latter managed to score 1-2 against the ropes from close range. Things got even worse for PSG in the second half when the sometimes elusive Moffi cut in from the right, only to score into the bottom left corner: 1-3. The attacker took off his shirt and celebrated the beautiful goal with the accompanying fans. The yellow card that followed did not seem to bother him. Mbappé made the game exciting with a half bicycle kick into the far corner, but despite the six minutes of injury time, a defeat could no longer be prevented.
