It seems that Marcos Senesi is facing a departure for AFC Bournemouth, Italian journalist Matteo Moretto reported Friday evening. Although West Ham United are committed to Thursday night, according to 1908.nl officially reported to Feyenoord, it seems that the 25-year-old Argentinian will move to Bournemouth. The negotiations between the Rotterdammers and The Cherries would be advanced.

According to Moretto, Feyenoord is still aiming for an amount of fifteen million euros for the central defender. That amount was previously mentioned by 1908.nl. Feyenoord would now be close to an agreement on a transfer from Senesi. According to the Italian journalist, the clubs are just ‘one step away’ from a deal.

Feyenoord has been preparing for a departure from Senesi in recent weeks by attracting Jacob Rasmussen. Yet, after the Argentinian’s definitive departure, Feyenoord will once again enter the transfer market for a left-footed central defender. The name of Dávid Hancko has often been around the Rotterdam club in recent weeks. 1908.nl assumes that Feyenoord will once again become concrete for the Slovakian stopper of Sparta Prague when Senesi leaves.

Senesi still has a contract in Rotterdam until mid-2023. Feyenoord reportedly has a unilateral option to stick to it for a year, but the Rotterdammers consciously choose not to do that. The club management thinks that Senesi can no longer be kept in Rotterdam. Senesi came to Feyenoord in the summer of 2019. The Rotterdam club paid a total of about seven million euros to San Lorenzo. Feyenoord is said to have to transfer ten percent of any profit from Senesi to Argentina.
