Alfred Schreuder has announced the line-up of Ajax for the make-up game with Vitesse. The coach has again not made room for Daley Blind in his starting eleven, while Brian Brobbey is not completely fit and also starts on the bench. Mohammed Kudus starts as a striker. The make-up game in the Johan Cruijff ArenA starts at 8 p.m.

Schreuder chooses Owen Wijndal as left back against Vitesse. The defender was injured in the Champions League match against Rangers (1-3), but has now been found fit enough to start again. This is not at the expense of Devyne Rensch who played there in the past two matches. The Mexican Jorge Sánchez is the child of the bill, Rensch is right back. The central duo Jurriën Timber and Calvin Bassey will remain intact.

Due to the suspension of Edson Alvárez, Kenneth Taylor returns to the starting line. In midfield, Schreuder also has a base in store for Steven Berghuis and Davy Klaassen. Kudus, who started as number 10 against PSV (1-2 loss) on Sunday, starts the attack in the absence of Brobbey. The Ghanaian is flanked by Steven Bergwijn and Dusan Tadic.

Due to the importance of last week’s Champions League meeting with Rangers, the home game with Vitesse was moved to Wednesday evening. If Ajax wins this make-up game, it will take over the lead in the Eredivisie from PSV. The Eindhoven team has a lead of two points, but also played one more game.

Ajax’s line-up: feather; Rensch, Timber, Bassey, Wijndal; Taylor, Berghuis, Klaassen; Mountain wine, Kudus, Tadic.
