Paris Saint-Germain has made no mistake in Ligue 1. The absolute top favorite to celebrate the national championship at the end of the season won 3-1 against Lille OSC on Saturday evening. The visitors quickly took the lead through Yusuf Yazici, but the Parisians quickly put things in order through Gonçalo Ramos and an own goal from Alexsandro. Randal Kolo Muani made it 3-1 in the end. PSG has an excellent dress rehearsal for the Champions League match with Real Sociedad. In Ligue 1, it is first with 50 points, followed by OGC Nice, which has a game in hand, with 39.
On the PSG side, coach Luis Enrique put several big names on the bench. Kylian Mbappé, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Warren Zaire-Emery were assigned a reserve role. Up front, Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani had to deal with the defense of the Lille team.
At Lille, Yazici was the ideal man to score the goals. The Turkish international did not disappoint and quickly made the surprising 0-1. Lucas Beraldo was fooled twice by Tiago Santos. Lille's right back steamed towards goal and passed the ball. At first the Portuguese didn't reach anyone, but the ball eventually ended up with Yazici, who spun open and found the short corner.
A great start for the visitors, who are fighting for a spot in the top three and therefore direct Champions League qualification. However, the lead only lasted four minutes. Alexsandro Ribeiro took far too long to complete his defensive action and lost the ball, after which things happened quickly. Ousmane Dembélé passed on to Ramos, who simply tapped in.
It certainly wasn't Alexsandro's night. PSG kept pushing and soon found what they were looking for: the lead. At first it didn't seem to happen after a mediocre cross from Ramos. However, Dembélé held in at the corner flag and passed to Fabián Ruiz. The Spaniard saw his cross deflected by Alexsandro in such a way that the ball flew into the far corner: 2-1.
Shortly after halftime, Asensio had an excellent opportunity to extend the score. The attacker won the ball and came face to face with goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who simply saved the Spaniard's weak shot. Moments later, Asensio made an excellent pass to Kolo Muani, who was injured while clearing Alexsandro. Bradley Barcola, among others, started to warm up.
Lille made some progress, although the really big opportunities did not materialize. PSG did get that at the other end through Kolo Muani, who was given a free shooting opportunity after an excellent first assumption. The French international had the choice of the corner, but did not think and rammed the ball full. A bad choice, because it allowed Chevalier to save the day. The goalie had to fish a little later. Substitute Barcola broke through on the left and passed to Kolo Muani, who finished from close range: 3-1.
