Kay Tejan was unable to make the difference for FC Sheriff Tiraspol in the home match against FC Viktoria Plzn (1-2 defeat). In the first leg in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, Tejan participated the entire match, but he was not important. Sergio Padt managed to stand out in PFK Ludogorets’ match against Dinamo Zagreb (1-2 defeat), but did so in a negative way. The former FC Groningen goalkeeper made a huge mistake at the 0-2 and was already substituted at half time.

PFK Ludogorets – Dinamo Zagreb 1-2
For Padt, Tuesday was an evening to soon forget. The Dutch closing post of Ludogorets was passed after six minutes by Dino Peric, who outsmarted him with a hard shot. Three minutes later, things got a lot more annoying for Padt, as he made a huge bounce at Zagreb’s 0-2. The 32-year-old keeper thought he could get rid of a cross, but tapped him into his own goal due to his intervention. Although Bernhard Tekpetey seemed to reduce the damage halfway through the first half by scoring the 2-1 with a beautiful solo, Padt was substituted in the half. After the break, Ludogorets hit the woodwork three more times, but the Bulgarian national champion was unable to score. As a result, Zagreb has an excellent starting position in the return.

Sheriff Tiraspol – Viktoria Plzen 1-2
The Moldovans took the lead after 36 minutes after a penalty that was given because of a handball by Jan Sykora. As a result, Rasheed Akanbi was able to shoot in the 1-0 from the spot. Five minutes later, the Czechs were awarded a penalty after intervention by the VAR. This one was also shot clear against the ropes by Thomas Chory. After Brazilian Pernambuco scored a free kick for Sheriff, it was Plzn who went on to win. Ten minutes after the break, Pavel Bucha became the match winner by nodding in the 1-2. Tejan and his teammates therefore have a tough return in the Czech Republic ahead. The TOP Oss mercenary did not score in four official matches for Sheriff.
