Nothing seems to be able to stop Napoli in his hunt for the Italian national title. The team of coach Luciano Spalletti won again on Sunday afternoon, this time at Torino: 0-4. Victor Osimhen (twice), Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Tanguy Ndombele scored the goals. For the latter, it meant his first goal ever in Serie A. With the victory, Napoli is 21 (!) points ahead of Internazionale, which will play against Juventus on Sunday evening. Torino is in tenth place.
At Torino, Perr Schuurs was positioned in the heart of the three-man defense. The Dutchman was flanked by Andreaw Gravillon and former PSV player Ricardo Rodríguez. Coach Ivan Juric opted for a 3-4-2-1 formation with Antonio Sanabria as the deepest striker. Hirving Lozano got a starting place on the side of Napoli. The Mexican took the right wing position from Matteo Politano. The Neapolitans played with the strongest eleven, which meant that star forwards Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen also started. Mathías Olivera was preferred to Mário Rui at left back.

Lozano was played after ten minutes and tried with a shot, which was converted into a corner kick. That was the opening goal. Piotr Zielinski had a beautifully turned cross, which was promoted to goal by Osimhen with a striking header in the far corner: 0-1. The biggest chance for Torino came after 23 minutes of play. Alex Meret first turned Samuele Ricci’s attempt, but had no answer to a Sanabria shot in the rebound. To the relief of Napoli, the ball hit the post. Ten minutes before the break, the visitors were awarded a penalty. Karol Linetty brought down Kvaratskhelia, after which the Georgian himself stood behind the ball and did not fail: 0-2.

Shortly after the break, Schuurs seemed to be close to the tying goal, but his header went over and, moreover, the goalkeeper appeared to have been offside. Then it hit the other side. Kvaratskhelia gave in nicely to Olivera, who put the ball at the far post. Schuurs lost Osimhen and had to watch how the Nigerian headed in his 21st goal of the season: 0-3. Torino occasionally became threatening in the future, including via Ricci and Sanabria. However, the home team did not come close to scoring. Napoli, on the other hand, managed to find the net again. Schuurs lost another duel against Osimhen, who reached Kvaratskhelia. He in turn passed to Ndombele, who made it 0-4 with a low shot.
