In association with Opta and the Kitchen Champion Division Football zone a weekly Team of the Week together with players who have performed the best based on statistics. Last Friday and Sunday, ten matches were played in the fourteenth round of the season, in which Willem II emerged as the new leader.
The goal is defended this week by Jan de Boer of VVV-Venlo. The closing post made no fewer than nine saves in the 0-2 victory over FC Eindhoven, the highest number for a goalkeeper who kept a clean sheet this season. Simon Janssen, teammate of De Boer, scored his second goal of the season against Eindhoven as a left back and is also included in the Team of the Week.

Willem II won with great difficulty on Friday with 2-1 against Jong FC Utrecht and became the definitive leader in the KKD due to Roda JC’s loss of points (0-0 against FC Groningen). There is therefore room for three Willem II players in the Team of the Week this week. One of them is Nick Doodeman, who delivered no fewer than seven successful crosses, more than any other player. One of those crosses made it 2-1 by Jeredy Hilterman, who is also in the Team of the Week.
Young PSV player Jason van Duiven can also count on an election. He was the only player involved in more than one goal in the last round. In the 1-4 away match against FC Dordrecht, he was good for one goal and one assist.
Dave Kwakman also deserves a place in the Team of the Week. The midfielder, who won the Youth League with AZ last season, provided his first assist of this season and gave Jong AZ the 2-1 victory over Helmond Sport.
