Jack Wilshere is back at AFC Bournemouth to keep in shape. The clubless midfielder is training along with the current number three of the Championship for the time being, giving a first sign of life since his departure from West Ham United in the summer. Wilshere has already been rented to Bournemouth by Arsenal in the 2016/17 season.

The Cherries announce through the official channels that the 34-time international of England will train with them, but there is no mention of the chance of employment. Bournemouth supporters will certainly have fond memories of his time at the club, as Wilshere was voted Player of the Month in November and December 2016, shone in a 4-3 win over Liverpool and was part of the squad that eventually finished ninth in the Premier League, Bournemouth’s highest ranking ever. His rental period ended earlier than planned, because Wilshere suffered a leg fracture after a collision with Harry Kane.

The Englishman sustained that injury in mid-April 2017. Before he had to retire from the season, Wilshere was a base customer and played 27 league games for Bournemouth. He returned to Arsenal after the loan, for which the midfielder played twenty times in the Premier League in the 2017/18 season. After that season, he made the transfer to West Ham United on a transfer-free basis. On October 5, his contract, which runs until mid-2021, was prematurely terminated by the London club. Wilshere played only eighteen official games in two years for West Ham.

Wilshere was employed during his employment with the Hammers fell due to injuries, but indicated after his departure that he was often skipped when he was fit. “I am only 28 years old, I feel fit and I am ready to play,” said Wilshere in a tweet. “Although I am frustrated that I have not been able to show everything I can do, I am convinced that I can still be in the top. I look forward to the future and hope to make an announcement about my future “, said the former top talent.
