Mauro Icardi did not appear at the training of Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday and Monday. The attacker still played 90 minutes in Friday’s league match against Angers (2-1 win), but has since been busy cementing his relationship with Wanda Nara. On Sunday, he made a rapprochement attempt with his wife via social media, who, however, does not seem to be impressed.

Icardi wished his wife a Happy Mother’s Day on Sunday evening; in Argentina it is celebrated every third Sunday in October. The 28-year-old striker added two photos showing him with Nara, plus a photo of Nara with her five children. She has two of them together with Icardi. ‘Feliz Día Mamucha’ he wrote with the publication, or ‘happy mother’s day’. Icardi also tried to charm his wife via Instagram Stories, but the attempt seems to have failed.

Icardi published a photo in which he can be seen in Milan with Nara, who was still wearing a ring on her finger. He added three hearts to the publication. Nara responded on her own account by sharing a photo of her own hand, this time without a ring: “I like my hand better without a ring,” writes the 34-year-old media personality. She also congratulates herself on Mother’s Day by sharing a photo with her five children. “Happy Mother’s Day to me. Thank you for making me the proudest mother in the world.”

This weekend it became clear that the love between Icardi and Nara is over. The woman accused the striker of cheating. “Another family you destroyed for a slut!” she wrote on social media on Saturday. They had been married since 2014. Nara was previously married to Maxi López, Icardi’s teammate at Sampdoria, until her relationship with Icardi came to light. Nara, who also acted as agent for Icardi, no longer follows her husband on social media.
